Report: The 2011 New Solutions for Michigan

Our goal is to strengthen the state of Michigan and its communities by providing a sustainable network of efficient and high quality public services. In the 2011 New Solutions for Michigan report we recommended:

  • – Prioritizing front-line service delivery by reducing middle management
  • – Pursing better value from contractors and consultants
  • – Improving customer service through collaboration between management
  • and staff

We have found that the state has failed to improve on these recommendations, as shown in the 2013 follow-up report, Pure Michigan Waste.
